Scuba Diving & Chankanaab Beach Club

This is great for beginners or anyone that wants to enjoy the beach club after the dives.

 

The park is open from 8:30 am to 5 pm

Diving Schedule: 9:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm (Monday to Saturday)

Includes: Park Admission Bracelet, Snorkel, and Scuba gear rental, Scuba Class, Practice and underwater tour, Sea Lion Show, Beach chairs, Beach Palapas (huts), Hammocks, Prehispanic replica area, Mayan House, Tropical Garden, Beach Area, Life Jackets, Tequila Area, Bathrooms, Showers.

Ages: 8 to 11 years do the kid's program (Bubblemaker). Older than 12 years of age do the adult program.

​FOR BEGINNERS: At the dive shop you will register and proceed to the class, which includes instruction on how to use the scuba gear, how to compensate for the pressure on the ears, learning different skills, signals, and all the necessary information in a fun and relaxed way. (30min approx.) Once with the gear on, we will proceed to practice; learning how to move efficiently underwater; immediately after we will proceed to the underwater tour. (40-50min approx.) One or more Scuba Instructors will be with you during the whole process.

 

FOR EVERYONE: The zone is blessed with reef formations and marine gardens which hold fish communities, crustaceans, mollusks, and coral. You will not need to go far to enjoy them, along with the coast sea fans and other soft coral grow abundantly. Sunken statues of the “Guadalupe” Virgin, the Christ, ther Mayan god Chaac, and original Spanish cannons are located on the sandbars. The whole area is buoyed for the safety of swimmers and scuba divers.

​You can do a second dive at half price to continue exploring the underwater world.
